Apostle Clayton Allen Cowart ministry began almost twenty (28) years ago, at the age of five (5). Although he couldn't read and understand all of the requirements for ministry, He understood the voice of God telling him to go and preach and start a work. At that time it wasn't clear to him that this was the voice of God (as with Samuel), but it was clear that God had placed him in His will to do work. Apostle Cowart worked for the Lord from the age of five (5) to the age of eleven (11) in a little church that his neighborhood friends and he had built. Then the ministry in him outgrew the side of the house and they started five (5) or more of those little churches (shack-like) in the city. At the age of five (5), an experience had happened to him, he was playing the piano at his house and he started speaking in a language unknown to him. He didn't understand it and hadn't had the proper teaching to understand the experience, but he knew he had received something special. From the age of five (5) to eleven (11), several different accounts of this experience had taken place. It was not until an evangelist came to town and explained the experience that had happened in his life. On a Friday night, he sought God for assurance and he filled his soul again and was baptized in Jesus' name. From that time on he evangelized until he was fifteen (15) years old, traveling to cities such as Rochester, NY, Boston, MA, South Bend, IN, and most of the country, preaching the Gospel. At the age of fifteen (15) he begin to pastor Church of God The Bibleway. The church has grown from eight (8) members to nearly five hundred (500) members. The home church has mothered several churches and now has twelve (12) churches within the United States , with four (4) international churches in Africa, seven (7) in Haiti, one (1) in Cuba, one (1) in Paris France and one (1) in London England. He was married to Lisa Y. Whitten in December of 1989. They have three lovely children; Deddrick, Claytavia and Clayeishia.
